Why Crash Buffers
According to the latest RID regulations, existing wagons transporting dangerous goods must be able to absorb min. 500 kJ per wagon end, while newly built wagons must be able to absorb min. 800 kJ per wagon end. The deadline to equip wagons with appropriate crash buffers is getting closer and closer, and stakes are high: one must not only ensure that wagons are permitted to run, but must also choose the appropriate level of protection at the best possible price.
New: Free Wagon Testing Services for Our Customers
Innova Systems & Technologies and Azoma now offer to their customers compatibility tests to verify if their older wagons can carry crash buffers. These tests involve buffers compressions (2 x 1 MN), as per ERRI B12/Rp 17. Since plenty of wagons built before the ERRI B12/Rp 17 are still in exploitation, we have decided to extend a courtesy service to our customers: free wagon compliance testing for wagons built before 1980.
